Listening, imagining and embodying a story invites a child to enter into the world of make-believe. Through our Creative Movements classes, we invite children to participate in movement and storytelling to encourage creativity, curiosity and independent thought.

My girls faces light up when I mention the imagination class. They love Ali the teacher and the books she helps bring to life. Unlike other classes which are very structured, Ali asks the children what they think happens next and a story evolves depending on the child’s input. This week the children acted out being fish, dolphins, crabs, lions and even dinosaurs. As the name suggests the class involves a fair amount of movement and activity too. The girls do not stop smiling from start to finish and enjoy every moment. The class sizes are relatively small too which means that every child can input into how the story develops. It’s like watching an improvised play before your eyes.
My daughter, aged 3, has been going to Aly’s class since day one at The Lordship Hub and she absolutely loves it. She has always been a bit funny with classes and never wanted to join in BUT with Creative Movements she got stuck in straight away. She starts crying when the class is finished as she wants more. Aly is such a wonderful, warm and happy person and I love the way she leads the class. All the children are always so happy. The music is great too!
Absolutely one of the best classes in the area. Aly is an exceptional and inspirational teacher and every story and activity is engaging and 100% fun all the way! We've loved building machines, creating forests and meeting a whole host of amazing animal friends in a variety of themed classes. My son has some mobility issues and this class is perfect for getting him moving and enjoying himself, and every activity is appropriate for his ability as well as presenting opportunities to be imaginative and participate in team work. can't recommend this enough to everyone!
