We are a company that specialises in providing high-quality classical music and traditional tales for babies and young children. At our performances an actor narrates an abridged version of a classical tale, punctuated by live performances of classical music by professional musicians, specially curated to match the plot.

Classical Tales has not run any activities for over two months. We’re trying to get an up-to-date schedule.
Really lovely idea of putting music to well known children’s stories. My son was really engaged by the music and the actor is a fantastic storyteller with a brilliant voice. Space for the babies to move around and play and a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. would recommend
The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. There was very beautiful music playing and the story teller was engaging. My son could crawl around and engage with his age group babies. We got to have tea and a cake all inclusive in the ticket price. The reception was attentive and welcoming. Organiser, Hannah, was very friendly, smiling and interacted with the audience before and after the show. Finally, great facilities for buggies and changing the babies. We enjoyed this activity as a family.
Absolutely amazing!! I’ve been to several of these (starting when my daughter was c 4 months and most recently now she’s 8 months) and she continues to be enthralled by the music and story! I was a bit skeptical at first as she’s a very busy little baby that hates to sit still for anything...but as soon as the pianist starts she’s totally engaged and actually quiet! entertaining for me too!
Hannah Nepil is a London-based classical music journalist who writes for a range of national papers and magazines including the Financial Times, Gramophone and The Strad. After having her first baby, Joshua, in May 2018, she decided to start his musical education with this new concert format in the hope that some of his (potential) friends might enjoy it too.
