The Carers Outreach Project (COPe) is a new, free of charge project from Sheffield Mencap & Gateway. COPe will bring together carers and cared for people in areas across Sheffield to share not just caring responsibilities, but experiences of caring and advice, in a mutually supportive way.
COPe seeks to create peer supported networks, improve mental health, overcome isolation and develop access to other community-based activities. We believe this project will increase confidence and raise aspirations by drawing on the experience, strengths and skill that already exist within our communities.
