Carys graduated from UWE in 2015 with a 1st Class Drama and Creative Writing Degree. She has since been teaching English to FE students but spends all her spare time performing. She graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire in 2018 where she took an MA in Acting and we are delighted she is bringing her skills and experience to our summer workshops
Charlotte trained as a puppeteer through workshops with Wendy Froud (she made Yoda!) and Marc Parrett (101 Dalmatians for Tobacco Factory Theatre). Charlotte continues to train with Marc as an alumnus of the Bath puppet workshop. In 2014, she founded Monkey Trousers Theatre with Fran Lewis, a Bristol-based theatre company, performing original plays for children which includes the very popular Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot shop which bring the world of puppetry to young audiences around Bristol.
With a passion for drama since a very young age, Claire formed Bristol Academy of Drama to introduce children to all genres of performance. She has a wealth of theatre experience, both professional and non professional, both on an off stage. She is an award winning actress and has enjoyed critical success as a director and producer. With a First Class Drama degree and working as a Key Stage 3 Drama and Year 1 - 7 LAMDA Teacher she is thrilled to be offering this new and exciting way of engaging with the world of theatre.
Clara graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with a BA Honours in Community Drama. Clara specialises in facilitating and directing, and works mainly with children and young people to provide opportunities within the arts. Her skills lay mainly in delivering creative and innovative projects utilising drama, movement, music and creative writing. After graduating she set up her own theatre company Pip Theatre. She has also collaborated with Chol Theatre, Uprising Manchester and has run storytelling workshops at Latitude, Glastonbury and Deershed Festival.
Jo is a theatre practitioner and drama graduate with a deep-seated passion for performance. She is founder and producer of collaborative theatre company Up The Ante. Her freelance career includes working as stage manager for the Stars of Magic at the Redrgave, and as part of the Bristol Shakespeare Festival. She has worked to facilitate theatre workshops with adults and young people since 2011, working with Stagecoach Performing Arts Schools, Bigfoot Arts Education, and touring workshops to international language schools.
