Barracuda Swimming Club is a swimming club for people with disabilities. They welcome people of all ages and swimming abilities no matter the severity of physical or learning disability. They have weekly sessions during which they have exclusive use of the pool. They teach and award badges to swimmers according to the Halliwick programme. Most swimmers will begin working one-to-one with one of the volunteers, who will help them develop the skills and confidence needed to become safe and independent swimmers. Some swimmers regularly compete in galas held by other local disabled swimming clubs.
