Kat and Laura are two fully enhanced CRB/DBS checked, qualified teachers providing a fun, creative and practical Music and Art session following the Early Years Foundation Stage National Curriculum. This session supports; - Personal, Social and Emotional Skills - Communication and Language Skills - (Fine) Motor Skills As laid out in the EYFS Curriculum Art - We will be experimenting and playing with different print making techniques to create a large mixed media piece. Music - We will be using high, low, fast and slow sounds to make music together as well as some super silly action songs!

Art & Music Workshop has not run any activities for over two months. We’re trying to get an up-to-date schedule.
Having previously been Head of Art, Design and Technology, Graphics and Fashion at a number of schools in London, Kat is currently an Art Teacher at St Edmunds Prep School in Ware. Prior to this Kat set up an Art and Design Faculty for a Free School in Finchley and ran the Newly Qualified Teacher programme, training and mentoring. Kat took Fine Art at University, before completing her teacher training in Cardiff. Kat specialises in portraiture and has exhibited in galleries, including The Mall Gallery and still takes private commissions. Kat has privately tutored a number of talented artists.
Having taught Music at nurseries across Cornwall, Laura is Head of Music for 3 Primary Schools in Hackney. She leads Young Music Makers and Recorder lessons for 3-8 year olds in Barnet and teaches instrument lessons privately. Prior to this, Laura was in charge of a large Secondary School Music Department in Shepherds Bush, having completed her teacher training in Cornwall. In October 2015, she won the Mayor’s Award for Ensemble Development and was shortlisted for the Excellence in Music Award. In 2014, Laura completed a year-long teacher training course with the London Symphony Orchestra.
