Archimake's after school & holiday workshops give children the chance to engage with the city and learn how they can change it. We cover a range of areas including art, design, physics, maths, geometry, english, literacy, communication, problem solving, teamwork, leadership and presentation skills.

Archimake Children’s Architecture Academy has not run any activities for over two months. We’re trying to get an up-to-date schedule.
Abhiroop is a successful architecture graduate who has completed the an accredited course in Architecture and now has his RIBA Part 1 certificate. Abhiroop has been working with Archimake for many months and has created several new workshops applying his experience of architectural education and tailoring it for a younger audience.
At Archimake we focus on children developing a strong understanding of creativity, structures, spaces, materiality, and problem solving. Through model making children learn about geometry and physics enhancing mathematical understanding. We also develop analytical skills in finding problems, developing solutions and communicating logical processes and reasoning. Communication is developed through the ability to draw, make, discuss and present ideas. Archimake workshop leaders have an architectural training background.
Fully qualified architect and member of the Higher Education Academy who has been a Senior Lecturer for 12 years in University. Cheryl has tailored many aspects of the university course for Archimake to be suitable for children to learn the essentials of 3D spatial design.
Darrell is a successful graduate of an accredited architecture degree course and now holds his RIBA Part 1 certificate. Darrell has tailored his knowledge of architecture and design to create new workshops for a younger audience.
Jade Zheng, partner of a Shanghai-based design studio, is a US licensed architect with 15 years of professional experience in the UK, China, US and South Korea. Her forward-thinking and sustainability-oriented design approach has brought unique solutions to various projects and won numerous international awards. Jade was guest critic for Architecture Department of Pratt Institute (New York) and Tongji University. Being a mum, Jade believes that “design thinking” is the key to help young children engage the world around them, also bring positive change and impact to the world.
