Before I became a Mum I was drawn to a career to work with young children, so I explored the teaching profession. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Manchester Primary School; I observed different teaching strategies and implemented a literacy intervention. I was struck by the value of fostering a love for reading in children from an early age. The importance for children to have access to books and the affect it can have on that child’s education. I have loved exploring children's literature with my own children. I love hearing them join in with familiar books and make their own stories.
