GEOENERGY DISCOVERY CENTRE Explore the interactive technologies showcasing geothermal energy's potential as a sustainable source for heating homes, buildings, industries, and agriculture, aligned with GeoEnergy NI's goal of achieving Northern Ireland's net zero carbon targets by 2050!

A NEW VIEW OF THE GIANT'S CAUSEWAY WITH DR MICHAEL SIMMS In 2021, a new theory was announced that explained why the columns descend to sea level only at the Causeway, and overturned an 80-year-old idea that the lava had filled an ancient valley. The evidence is surprisingly obvious, and will be explained in simple terms by Dr Michael Simms, as part of a broader overview of the volcanic history of the Causeway Coast.
