This clinic is aimed at those new to Showing or wishing to brush up on their skills and knowledge for the upcoming show season.

Penny has produced all types of horses and ponies to win at RIHS, HOYS and major county shows. She has also been a judge for many show societies at some of the most prestigious top shows. With over 40 years’ experience of teaching at all levels and her extensive knowledge of Showing, Penny will be able to best prepare you for a successful 2026 show season.

There will be 4 separate sessions;

The planned format for each group will be;

Welcome by Penny who will explain correct turnout for the horse/pony and rider/handler, what the judge is looking for including what is required for the individual show, as well as ring craft and etiquette. You will then all go round together where Penny will provide guidance on how to best present your horse. This will then be followed by a ‘practice show’ where participants will go round together as if in the show ring and each perform an individual simple show. There will be an opportunity for any questions at the end.

Entries close on the Thursday before the event.
