Description

Join us for a two-day creative camp inspired by our favourite land giants, the dinosaurs! What will you learn on this course? Dinosaurs turned into fossils, and fossil fuels can be turned into plastics, so why not turn our plastic waste back into dinosaurs? Use recycled materials to spark your Cretaceous creativity and make a variety of palaeontological artworks. This course includes a tour of Waste Age: What can design do? a major group exhibition on display at MAC, where you can see how artists and designers are finding clever ways to re-purpose and upcycle waste into new products. The children will be able to take home anything that they have made during the course. Who is this course for? This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and does not require any previous experience. We provide a learning support worker and all our staff are DBS checked. Parents are not expected to accompany children on the course. The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. A parent or carer may assist their child if required but must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible. Age ranges are set carefully to consider key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to.
