Description

Do you love cats? Learn how to show your love and appreciation for our furry friends and make your own special cat fan-zine in this fun one-day workshop What will you learn on this course? Taking inspiration from the tradition of self-published fanzines you will learn how to create your own handmade magazine or book with a cat theme (or any topic you choose). Whether it’s unicorns or wrestling that takes your fancy (perhaps it’s a bit of both!) you can make a zine to reflect you! The important thing is that your Zine expresses your own ideas and feelings about the topic you choose, even if it is wrestling unicorns! On this course you will learn a range of hands on, practical design and layout techniques that will help to share what it is you want to say. By the end of the workshop you will have made your very own zine to show off to friends and family. Who is this course for? This course is suitable for children aged 6 to 11 years. It is open to all ability levels and children don’t need previous experience. Parents are not expected to accompany children on these courses. All our staff are DBS checked. The course is accessible for children of all abilities who can participate in practical art and craft activities. We can provide a learning support worker and a parent or carer may assist their child if required. Carers must book a complimentary ticket if attending a course to provide support. The room is wheelchair accessible. Age ranges are set carefully to take into account key age developments, materials being used and course stimulus. It is very important that age ranges are not too large or across key stages and therefore need to be adhered to. Do you need to bring anything? All materials and equipment are provided. Please note that lunch is not provided. Children will need to bring their own lunch to eat on a supervised one-hour break. Are there any additional costs? There are no additional costs. The course price includes all materials. Who teaches this course? Niall Singh
