5 Days of Signs & Symbols

Take a magical journey into the world of symbols and meaning. Inspired by Mani Kambo: Ax·is Mun·di, we've curated five days of free family activities. Explore the fascinating shapes and signs woven throughout Kambo's work in our interactive exhibition tour, then help us make a mega happy city – a special two-day collaborative installation guided by artist Zoe Allen. From storytelling and poetry to hands-on workshops and a game of symbol bingo, discover the secret language of signs.

Throughout the five days of activity, visitors to Baltic can also enjoy a unique pop-up exhibition created by event supporters Newcastle Building Society, who are working with three North East artists on a new visual initiative for people seeking a more mindful way to manage their money.
