If you're looking for a fun and educational activity to keep the kids busy this half term, you can’t go wrong with London Zoo! With over 20,000 animals to see, there's sure to be something to capture their imagination. From tigers and lions to penguins and giraffes, they'll be able to get up close to some of the world's most fascinating creatures. And with a host of interactive shows and events throughout the day, they'll never be bored. So if you're looking for a great day out for all the family, head to London Zoo.
See the capital city from above at the London Eye this half term. Enjoy stunning views of the cityscape from 135 metres in the air. On a clear day, you can see for miles in every direction. It's an excellent opportunity to teach your kids about perspective and scale. As they ride in one of the 32 capsules, they'll be able to see how the city looks from above and get a sense of its size and scope. Make a day of it with a visit to the nearby London Aquarium, Dungeons or Shrek Adventure.
The British Museum is home to one of the largest collections of works in existence. Its extensive collection of artefacts from around the world will surely capture kids' imaginations. The museum also offers a range of interactive activities and exhibitions. And if the weather is not too good, there are plenty of indoor spaces to explore. The British Museum is a great place to learn about other cultures and societies, and it will provide an enjoyable and educational day out for the whole family.
Hyde Park is one of London's most popular tourist destinations, and for good reason. This sprawling park is home to many attractions, making it an ideal place to take the kids this half term. At the same time, Serpentine Lake is perfect for a spot of lunchtime picnicking and wildlife spotting. Walk through to Kensington Gardens and enjoy the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain and playground.
The Tower of London is an excellent place to take the kids this half term. It's a fascinating place with a rich history dating back over 900 years. The kids will love exploring the Tower, learning about the different people imprisoned there, and seeing the Crown Jewels. There are plenty of kid-friendly activities, such as tours, workshops, and treasure hunts. It’s located in the heart of London, so there's plenty to see and do nearby, including the Tower Bridge Experience. So if you're looking for a fun and educational day out, the Tower of London is the perfect place to take the kids this half term.
