Monkey Music – Notting Hill, Hampstead & Maida Vale

Since 1993, thousands of families across the UK, have grown up singing, dancing & playing with Monkey Music. Written by musicians, who understand the fundamental role that music plays in early development, our progressive classes are an ‘excellent fit’ for babies & pre-schoolers.

With the help of Monkey and Mo, catchy songs, fascinating sounds and fabulous props, our talented teachers captivate & entertain their troop of musical little monkeys. Everyone has so much fun learning, they don’t realise how clever they are being!

  • Clementine Spalton Wed 29th Nov 2017 Attended with 24 month-old, and 4 year-old Both of my children (4 and 2) have done Monkey Music and loved it. The teachers are brilliant and so enthusiastic. In class they use all sorts of instruments and props. It’s a great introduction to music, singing and rhythm. And the songs are (annoyingly!) quite catchy.
  • Maria Sovago Tue 28th Nov 2017 Attended with 3 year-old I’ve attended one full year of ding-dong classes with my son. The sessions were the highlights of our weeks. It’s such a privilege for a mum to be on the musical journey together with my 3-year-old. It’s an important part of our strong bonding. I’ve only learned a bit of music myself at a much later age, so I didn’t have an idea how to start it with a toddler. Such a joy to see how much he is hooked on classical music and his passion for instruments. Thank you, “Mr Alex”, for setting off Luka into the world of making music.
  • Kate Rupert Tue 28th Nov 2017 Attended with 1 year-old I have attended Monkey Music with all three of my children over the last 7 years and it continues to be the highlight of my week. Alex is so animated and entertaining (for the adults too), the kids are smiling and engaged from start to finish. From nursery rhyme to rhythm & instruments to imaginative play, every week is different. All the teachers bring their own style to the class.
  • Joanna Birch Tue 28th Nov 2017 Attended with 6 month-old I started taking Jackson to Monkey Music aged six months. He’s now two. He’s my sixth charge in ten years to attend Alex’s classes. I can’t recommend enough. All the teachers are invested in what they do, and really enjoy helping the little people develop. My little man has thrived! He Has rhythm and loves to dance! Highly recommend.
  • Fran Jefferson Wed 27th Sep 2017 Attended with 2 year-old Love love loved it ! Have tried so many kids activities and classes but for me this one really stood out from the rest - the teacher was brilliant and had all the children totally engaged from the start (no mean feat with a bunch of toddlers). The musical instruments and toys were all spotlessly clean as well (one of my personal bugbears !), all in all a great set-up, lots of happy kids, would definitely recommend to anyone with pre-schoolers
  • Kelly Townsend Tue 26th Sep 2017 Attended with 9 month-old WOW! What a brilliant class. So well designed to really teach the children about music and rhythm. Couldn't ask for more in a pre- school activity.
  • Hannah Scott Mon 25th Sep 2017 Attended with 12 month-old, and 3 year-old Very good, the kids love it and so go I
  • Amie Martin Mon 25th Sep 2017 Attended with 6 month-old My 4 month old LOVES this class. The teacher is really engaging and it's great for her development. Also it's really clean! Have met lovely other mums there.
  • Ruth Coady Mon 25th Sep 2017 Attended with 24 month-old, and 1 year-old If I were to chose to sign up for just one kids class/activity a week it would be Monkey Music. The set up is incredibly well run, an invaluable source of stimulation and entertainment for children, a wonderful place for parents/carers to meet and enjoy watching your child have a blast. The teachers are properly trained, communication is excellent, and the venues are in well thought out spaces. Hands down the best value for money I spent for both my kids in a class. I have tried a few others over the years, but none are as good.
