Description

Kicking off Brum Buzzcut 2024 we welcome Lyza who created Blacklore as a safe and fun space to engage with BIPOC+ and Queer literature, aiming to create a booming book community in Birmingham.

Join us to hear how Lyza’s experiences as a Black Queer literature lover have brought her to creating a community on TikTok and holding space for fellow readers.

Find out more about Lyza’s work here https://linktr.ee/blackloreuk and on TikTok and Instagram @blackloreuk

BIPOC+ stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, plus other racialised identities.

This event is held as part of the Brum Buzzcut, a collaboration between Alexia of Back To Books and the National Trust Back to Backs. It is not affiliated with Birmingham Pride.

We will provide seating and light refreshments. Please reach out to [email protected] for any access questions. We operate this festival with a safer spaces framework and are intentional in creating care and belonging.
