Meet one of our rangers for a morning of moth surveying on our estate. Discover why this delicate creature is so important to the environment and fall in love with beauty of all the different species.

Join us for moth surveying on the estate from 9am-11.30am, Thursday 9 May in the Kingston Lacy woodland.

Please note this event was due to take place on Thursday 2 May, however due to nature of the electrical equipment and natural behaviour of moths we are unable to complete the survey.

This event will now be taking place on Thursday 9 May, if you have already booked a place on this event we will be in touch with more details.

£10 per person, limited spaces available. Tickets on sale now. Please note this does not include entry fee into Kingston Lacy.

If you are a member please have your membership card ready to be scanned. If you are a Non-member please note you will need to pay £19 ( or £21 for gift aid) in addition, for admission to the property (card only)

You will be surveying in the woodland, so please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the time of year. Sturdy boots or wellies advised.

This event includes a short 15 minute walk to the survey site, which may not be accessible for everyone. If you would like to attend and would like to discuss your access requirements, please call 01202 883402.

All equipment will be provided. Due to the nature of this activity it is weather dependent.

Kingston Lacy

An early morning walk lead by a Ranger around Badbury Rings to hear the wealth of birds welcoming in the morning. Distance – 2.5 miles

Every Wednesday, enjoy the tranquillity of the Kingston Lacy garden in a dedicated silent space. Take time to relax, turn off your phone, rest quietly and connect to the nature around you.

Would you like to take up cycling again, have lost confidence, or would just like to ride with other people using traffic-free trails or quiet country lanes? These rides are led by trained volunteers from Dorset Council's Health and Activity...

Come along to one of our volunteer-led Formal Garden tours to discover the history, horticulture and highlights of the season.
