The Top 10 Soft Plays in London

6 January 2023

Soft play can be a great way to get your tiny tots up and moving. If you’re looking for the best soft plays in London, look no further. Let’s get started.

Kidspace Adventures, Romford and Croydon

This new soft play centre had a major revamp in 2021 when a brand new soft toddler-specific area was completed. With mini golf, go-karts and slides, Kidspace Adventures is a great place for the smallest of kids all the way to the older ones! Anyone under 13 is allowed to enter, and parents are also allowed to explore alongside their children. This makes it great fun and allows you to keep a watchful eye while your kids have the time of their lives.

The Sheriff Centre

Located in West Hampstead, this classic soft play centre has ball pits, slides and separate sections for babies and older kids. It’s also a parents' haven as the play centre is located inside St. James' Church - which has a very well-reviewed cafe located within. You can enjoy cake and coffee while your kids have a great time. If you’re located in the area, be sure to pop in for a taster session with your little one.

Gambado, Chelsea

Gambado call themselves ‘The UK’s Ultimate Play and Party Centre’, and it’s easy to see why. They are filled to the brim with soft play equipment, ball pits and sensory areas for your kids to develop their sensory stimulation skills. There is a huge play frame for your slightly older kids, as well as arcade machines, dodgems and a cafe. If you find you love the place, you can also get a pass for unlimited visits all summer long!

Jungle Monkeyz

With two branches in Pinner and Harrow, Jungle Monkeyz is a multi-tiered play centre that promises ‘organised mayhem’. It’s open 7 days a week and is a family-owned business, so you can be sure that they put in that extra ounce of care and attention for your child. The youngest of kids are also welcome here, as they have a dedicated playing area for toddlers.

Macaroni Penguin, Docklands

This soft play centre stands out by not only offering a quality soft surface sensory corner for the smallest kids, but by the huge variety of classes they offer. Kids can take art, language, drama and music classes - so this centre provides some great opportunities for your kids to develop. They also sell artisan tea for the parents, which is always a nice touch!

Kidzania London

Within the massive Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush is Kidzania, a huge indoor city with more than 75,000 square feet of space. It has a massive soft play early years area, which even features a science lab for your kids that are budding scientists. The other areas making up the rest of Kidzania are mainly for your older kids, so give Kidzania a visit if you’re looking for a fun family day out.

Clowntown

Clowntown is the largest children’s indoor activity centre in North London. It has great facilities if you want to hold your child’s party, and a huge cafeteria for when the family gets hungry. There is also a large selection of soft play, but be aware that they have a height restriction of 4’10. If your kids are very tall, then this is not the place to go!

N20 Kids Club

The N20 Kids Club is a flashy soft play centre that offers high quality services. They have a brand new soft play area offering the best quality toys and soft play equipment, as well as a sensational food menu. Give them a call and pop in if you’re in the Finchley Area.

Little Dinosaurs

Right inside Alexandra Palace is Little Dinosaurs, an all year round soft play centre. It’s a great place to take the older kids - and even the adults, due to the number of activities available around the area. Alongside the soft play centre, there are skateparks, a boating lake and a farmer’s market to name a few. Do give them a ring to book a session as it does tend to get busy.

Rainbow Soft Play and Cafe

In the heart of North London, amongst the surroundings of Bramble Park, is this soft play centre with a cafe. They promise a great time for your little one, and are very convenient - running 4 sessions throughout the day, every day. You can hop in anytime and be sure that there will be a session ongoing. Not only that, but there are dedicated play areas for all ages: 0-2, 2-4 and even 5-11. You can be sure of a fun day out for all your kids.
