Built in 1864 as a gracious Victorian home, Penlee House in Penzance has been converted to create a first-class gallery and museum set within an attractive park, which includes a children's play area. It specialises in showing West Cornwall's unique cultural heritage through a range of temporary exhibitions alongside displays of the permanent collection. It also offers events, tours, workshops and activities to further explore the collections. The on-site licensed cafe, The Orangery, offers a range of cold drinks, coffees and teas with home baked cakes and freshly prepared light lunches.
