A one-year Foundation Course for reception class children which introduces music through singing and movement. Children are introduced to a range of vocal repertoire, encouraged to try solos and contribute ideas, and given a range of tools to develop their confidence and team-work.

Fledglings Foundation Course

Offers students of all abilities the opportunity to experience the excitement of musical theatre training and performance. Students train in a variety of stage disciplines with leading professional artists, gaining new skills, confidence and firm friendships.

I Can Sing! - Music Theatre School

Offers students aged 7 upwards an extensive curriculum including group and individual instrumental tuition, musicianship, and the Orchestra and Choirs of CYMH. Students progress through the Yellow, Green and Blue Programmes as they progress on their instrument.

The Music Box - Early Years Music

An exciting creative music making project for SEN/D children with a range of mild to severe, profound, and complex needs. Through composing and playing music using instruments, storytelling, song and play, children develop their musical skills, social engagement and interaction.

Music Treehouse - SEN/D Music Classes

Offers talented young instrumentalists and vocalists the opportunity to work with some of the world’s top jazz musicians and evolve their creative powers and performance skills through exploration of the American roots of Jazz.

Julian Joseph Jazz Academy

HMDT Music

HMDT Music’s Saturday Programme serves over 350 students aged 6 months – 25 years on 30 Saturdays during each academic year. Started in 1995, it remains a vibrant and unique Saturday offering, providing a spectrum of individual projects involving guest visits and work with leading artists, alongside the continually expanding regular classes and programmes designed to enrich the lives of young people through music making. A source of local community pride, the programme also attracts students from across London and beyond.

 
Programmes include: The Music Box, Fledglings, I Can Sing! (Music Theatre), CYMH Instrumental School, Julian Joseph Jazz Academy & The Music Treehouse (SEN/D).
