For our St Patricks Day theme expect lots of foot tapping tunes, design your own hat and make a wish with your lucky shamrock too!

Meet the Team

Co - Director, RISE Music Education

Mickey is a composer, saxophonist, clarinettist and teacher. After attending Chetham's where he studied clarinet and saxophone, he went on to Trinity College of Music where he completed his degree in Jazz Saxophone and Composition. Mike has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with musicians such as Stan Sultzman, Mike Walker and Sir John Dankworth at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall and the Belfast Arena. Mike has written works for various performers and ensembles and has had premieres of his work performed in the British Film Institute, the RCM and the RNCM.

Co - Director, RISE Music Education

Pip is an award winning flautist and vocalist performing and working in education outreach across the country. She is a passionate teacher of whole class instrumental programmes, individual lessons and workshops for a variety of organisations including Royal College of Music, Royal Albert Hall and LMN. Philippa is a graduate of the Royal College of Music and regularly performs solo recitals as well as with a variety of ensembles including Tir Eolas, Christian Forshaw & The Sanctuary Ensemble and Bird at venues including Shakespeare's Globe, Royal Albert Hall, BBC Radio 3, and Ronnie Scott's.

Rise Music Education
Mini Maestros is an interactive, fun, multi sensory music session for 0-5 year olds and their families. The classes run each week following various themes for the children to explore and further their learning. With percussion, singing, signing and dance, the sessions aim to present a fun and engaging platform for children to explore sound and song whilst learning and having fun! Rise Music Education was set up by professional musicians to provide everyone in the community access to high quality live music.
