Blissful-Babies

I am a Qualified Midwife of 13 years, I offer exercise classes to pregnant mums in the local area of Coventry and Warwickshire.

Blissful Fitness also offers parent and baby classes. Baby Yoga runs on a 5-6 week course basis and my new baby massage course will run as a 4 week course.

An exciting, fun and relaxed class to share and bond with your baby.

Me and my now 5 month old attended both Sara’s baby massage and baby yoga courses in January/February. Sara is really friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. She is a practising midwife so you know that you’re under the guidance of a well qualified individual. The set up of both classes was fun, varied and encouraged interaction between Mums and babies! Some really lovely personal touches too. The baby massage course covered the whole body and incorporated theoretical knowledge without being heavy going, together with rhymes and songs which made it fun. It was delivered at a good pace to give you the opportunity to hone your skills. I would advise taking a nice snuggly blanket for baby. The baby yoga class was a good balance of exercises for Mum and baby. I thought it was really creative and innovative and incorporated some lovely sensory pieces - lights, scarves, instruments and bubbles together with songs and rhymes. I really enjoyed it, as did my baby and I’m sure that it has facilitated her development with respect to movement patterns, especially rolling and improved her head/neck control. No previous experience necessary. I would suggest wearing comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Never an issue to feed, change or just give baby a break during the classes. My little one fell asleep during the massage class a couple of times - Sara always carries a spare doll which you can practise on. Thoroughly enjoyable and I would highly recommend both.

Attended Baby massage. Lovely course, run by a very knowledge teacher, Sara. I learned so much, and now incorporate it into our daily routines. My baby enjoys it too and its helpful to relieve colic. Sara bring many sensory toys along to help entertain the babies if needed. A booklet was given at the end with all the movements, so your don't have to try and remember it all. Have now booked into her next course: Baby yoga!

Great class. A good mix of yoga for baby and for mum. Nice resources and some really useful strategies to bring calm into a hectic life!
